Student Scholarship Information
The Houston Area Association for Bilingual Education (HAABE) would like to invite graduating high school seniors in your school district to participate in the annual HAABE Tanya Thompson Student Scholarship Competition.
Last school year, we received a large number of applications and were able to give out several $1000 scholarships. This year, we will be awarding the HAABE Scholarship to numerous exceptional students and each winner will receive $1,000 to help them with college costs.
Please help us spread the word by forwarding the attached application to all high school principals, counselors, teachers, and anyone else in your district that can let your students know about this wonderful opportunity!
Interested seniors must complete the application at https://forms.gle/csWjhVaXZJYpTaHJ8 by Friday, March 14, 2025. No late applications will be considered.
Winners will be notified by April 13, 2025. HAABE will announce the scholarship winners at this year’s HAABE’s Awards Banquet on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Norris Conference Centers-Houston/City Centre. Each scholarship winner must submit a letter of acceptance to an institution of higher education for the fall semester in order to receive the scholarship award. Winners must attend the awards banquet.
